What does the free scan show?

It checks your email against publicly searchable breaches and shows you one full breach finding — including what data was exposed — plus an honest count of the rest. The counts are real, never inflated, and no card is required.

Can you remove everything about me from the internet?

No — and you should be wary of anyone who says they can. Data that has already been copied, traded, or archived can’t be recalled. What we do is reduce your exposure: we submit removal requests to people-search and data broker sites, monitor until listings come down, and alert you when something new appears. Our Security page spells out exactly what we can and can’t do.

What's the difference between breach findings and broker listings?

They need different responses. A breach is a historical leak — it can't be un-leaked, so we monitor breaches and help you remediate: change passwords, enable 2FA, watch for reuse. Broker listings are live pages, so those we act on: we submit removal requests and monitor each site until your listing comes down, re-filing if it reappears.

I'm a California resident — should I use the state's DROP service?

You can, and it’s free: California residents can use the state’s DROP service (privacy.ca.gov) to request deletion from registered data brokers. Erasery covers additional people-search sites beyond the registry, handles verification follow-ups, and monitors for reappearance.

How long do removals take?

It varies by site — some process requests in days, others take weeks and require verification follow-ups, which we handle. Your dashboard shows the live status of every request, and we keep monitoring after a listing comes down in case it reappears.

What information do you need, and how is it stored?

The free breach scan needs only your email. Including people-search sites needs your name, city, and state — brokers index people that way. Personal fields are encrypted at the column level with AES-256-GCM, we never sell your data, and you can have everything deleted within 30 days of asking. Details on our Security page.

Does the subscription auto-renew?

Never. Selling your data would make us the thing we exist to fight. We use what you give us solely to run scans and removal requests on your behalf, and you can delete your account — and your data with it — at any time.
