Terms of Service
Effective date: July 22, 2026
1.Who we are and what these terms cover
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and [Entity name] (“Erasery,” “we,” “us”), the operator of erasery.com and the Erasery service. They govern your use of our website, free exposure scan, and paid subscription. By creating an account, running a scan, or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2.The service
Erasery helps you see where your personal data is exposed and reduce that exposure. Specifically, we: (a) check your verified email address against publicly searchable data breaches and report what we find; (b) search people-search and data broker sites for listings that match the identity details you provide; (c) as your authorized agent, submit removal requests to those sites and handle verification follow-ups; and (d) monitor on an ongoing basis, including quarterly re-scans and alerts when your email appears in a newly catalogued breach.
Erasery is a consumer service for your own personal information. You may only scan email addresses you own and control, and you may only provide identity details about yourself.
3.What we do not promise
We are deliberately precise about limits. We submit removal requests to data broker sites and monitor listings until they are removed; we do not and cannot guarantee that any particular site will comply, how quickly it will comply, or that a removed listing will never reappear. Data breaches are historical events: we monitor them and help you remediate their effects, but no service can delete data from a breach that has already occurred. We do not promise complete removal of your information from the internet, and we make no guarantee described as “complete” or “100%.”
4.Authorized agent appointment
When you subscribe, you appoint Erasery as your authorized agent for the limited purpose of submitting data access, deletion, and opt-out requests to data brokers and people-search sites on your behalf, under applicable privacy laws. You will be asked to sign a letter of authorization; some brokers may contact you directly to verify a request, and completing those verifications may be required for the request to proceed. You may revoke this authorization at any time by cancelling your subscription or contacting support.
5.Subscription, auto-renewal, and cancellation
The Erasery subscription is $119 per year. Your subscription automatically renews annually at the then-current price until you cancel, and your payment method on file is charged at each renewal. We send a reminder email approximately 30 days before each renewal. You can cancel at any time in your account settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. Consent to these renewal terms is captured at checkout, before you are charged.
6.30-day money-back guarantee
If Erasery isn’t what you expected, contact support@erasery.com within 30 days of your initial purchase and we will refund the full amount. Details, including how renewals are treated, are in our Refund Policy.
7.Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information about yourself, to scan only email addresses you own, to complete broker verification steps when they are required, and not to use the service to harass, impersonate, or investigate any other person. We may suspend or terminate accounts used in violation of these Terms.
8.Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Erasery’s total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9.Dispute resolution and arbitration
[Arbitration provision placeholder — pending counsel review: binding individual arbitration administered by an arbitration provider to be designated, small-claims carve-out, 30-day opt-out window, class-action waiver, and mass-arbitration protocol. This section will be completed before public launch.]
10.Changes, governing law, contact
We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced by email or in-product notice at least 30 days before they take effect, and continued use after that date constitutes acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of [State], excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Questions: support@erasery.com, [Entity name], [Postal address placeholder].
